Christmas Market by the Sea
One of the most stunning markets in the UK for it’s location. Right at the foot of the Blackpool Tower and facing the Irish sea. Visitors can enjoy the Christmas spirit daily from noon to 9pm. We recommend going just before dinner time. You can enjoy the sunset on the beach and then hop onto some of the rides. It is stunning at night with all the lights.
Snow White on Ice
The Pleasure Beach in Blackpool is home to the world’s first purpose-built ice rink. It actually opened in 1937. You can take lessons there or watch shows. This month, Snow White will be entertaining families with a stunning ice skating show. It starts on December 7th and will end on boxing day. Tickets are only £10, a bargain so be quick to book!
Christmas Northern Soul & Motown Party
Blackpool is renowned around the world for its dance competitions. With venues like the ballroom at the Tower or the Winter Gardens, dancing is on all year. For the pleasure of Northern Soul and Motown lovers too. They gather for events a couple of times per year, the Christmas Northern Soul party is on December 14th and will start at 8:30pm. Christmas Dinner Magic
Fast food is ubiquitous in Blackpool! Kind of food one would devour after a long night. Some restaurants and hotels will also prepare 5 course meals for you to enjoy with friends and families. So if you are visiting Blackpool during Christmas make sure you book a hotel room with Christmas dinner on the menu. Restaurants will be busy if not fully booked.
Funny Girls New Year Eve
Probably the most famous venue in the world when it comes to funny girls. The eponymous show is running all of December with a creative Christmas note.
